March 2012 Favorites

March has definitely been a month of discovering new products. Not to mention that QVC has made it hard for me to control my guilty pleasures. Below are some of the products I've come to love more than others this month of March 2012.

Face:
For the face I was introduced to the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation because of QVC. I have always liked Tarte products but I never considered using the foundation until QVC had a Tarte special for a duo of this foundation including the Tarte foundation brush. I am used to using drugstore foundation and have always found myself having to touch up and it not lasting through the day. With this amazonian clay foundation it is amazing the long wear. Also for the face I had been looking for a matte bronzer with out any luck until reading about the Too-Faced Chocolate Soleil. It is a true matte bronzer without looking muddy. It also smells amazing, hence the name 'chocolate soleil'.

Eyes:

For the last few months I have been stuck on Urban Decay's Naked pallette & their primer potion and i just needed a break from it. Dont get me wrong I think it's an amazing go to pallette & primer but it is nice to get new stuff to work with. NYX shadow base work great and Revlon's eye shadow quads have an amazing variety for any time of day and look. My recent Tarte obsession also included their Lights, Camera, Lashes! which is something that has been on my wish list for a while. I've only had it for about a week and it's by far the best mascara I've used so far. Plus the packaging is adorable.

Lips:
I know I'm making it seem like Tarte is the greatest thing since sliced bread but I really do love every puchase I've made this month including their Maracuja Divine lip gloss. It's shear enough to wear over lipstick and it's not sticky. This can also be worn alone to give your face a pick me up. Love it. Can't wait to get it in some other shades.

Little Black Bag - Haul & Review

Just wanted to share my experience with Little Black Bag. I was introduced to this monthly subscription service about a month ago froma youTube guru. At first the whole idea about selecting your items and bein able to trade them seem really confusing. Once I got the chance to go to the website and sign up it was actually really fun. The initial survey for the preferences is really relevant to the items you will see in your bag more so then other services. The service is around $50/month and you may skip the month if you wish. The cost include 3-4 accesocies from very well known brands.

The first item in your 'bag' is one selected by you. So you can select one thing you really want. The others are assinged but you have the option of trading them with other members for pieces you are also interested in. The trades happend faster than expected. I thought I'd have to wait for days before I knew if someone accepted my trade. Within minutes you had activities on people offering trades and accepting or denying trades. It makes is fun to keep track of.

Below are pictures of my first Little Black Bag. Shipping was quicker than shown with the tracking so it was a nice suprise to see it on my door step.

The first item I selected was a deux lux make up bag. I have been looking for a cute make up bag that is not an all out train case. This was perfect.

The second item was assinged to me and i decided to keep it. It is a BCBGeneration studded necklace. The third item i traded some silver earings for these other hoop earings shown. Below are all 3 items received in my 'bag'.

Overall I was very pleased with the service and the overall idea of this site. There are many other services out there but I feel that this is very relevant to your wants & interactive with other members involved. Looking forward to ordering April's Little Black Bag.
